Across Greenbank Preparatory School, Cheadle Catholic Infant School and Ladybrook Primary School in Stockport, this wonderful team will be bringing
May Dayz to life for children aged 3–11 years old.
So, let’s meet the crew behind the may-hem…
The Captains
Every splendid festival needs someone making sure the bunting is flying, the treats are flowing and everyone feels welcome. Our Captains keep the bigger picture running smoothly across all venues while making sure every child feels safe, settled and ready for adventure.
Sophie
Founder of Practically Family and calm presence-in-chief. Sophie is a qualified teacher with a huge imagination and an even bigger love for muddy play, childhood magic and giving children the freedom to simply be kids. Quietly keeping everything ticking along while making every family feel welcome.
Grant
Grounded, approachable and brilliantly calm. Grant is a qualified Early Years practitioner and natural leader who helps children feel instantly settled and confident. A semi-professional basketball player with serious skills on the court, he somehow still finds time to join in the football matches, inflatable chaos and wild outdoor adventures too.

Our Crew Leaders are the ones shaping the days, guiding the adventures and making sure the magic moves from one activity to the next.
Alex T
Big-kid energy and resident comedian, Alex T can turn even the simplest game into the highlight of the day. A qualified primary school teacher, he instinctively knows how to engage children and keep the atmosphere full of laughter, teamwork and joy.
Ashlyn
Sporty, sociable and always ready with a high five or a hula hoop. Ashlyn brings infectious energy to every activity and is especially loved by children who like to keep moving, climbing, running and joining in every game possible.
Shaz
Football superstar and qualified sports coach. Kind, funny and full of banter, Shaz brings team spirit and huge energy to Club. Expect all-Club tournaments, races across the field and imaginative use of football cones!
Selo
Our qualified EYFS wizard who is simultaneously building a school in Sierra Leone! Creative, energetic and endlessly kind, Selo helps our youngest Clubbers feel safe, confident and ready to explore everything May Dayz has to offer.
Tash
Multi-talented, confident and brilliant at holding everyone’s attention, Tash brings huge energy and creativity to May Dayz. From field games to crafty chaos, she has a lovely way of making every child feel involved, excited and part of the fun.
Emily E
An Early Years teacher and qualified Zumba instructor, which probably explains why Emily is always smiling and bringing lovely energy wherever she goes. Creative, thoughtful and brilliantly fun, she’s often found leading crafty creations, dance-offs and feel-good moments throughout the day.
Ellie Y
Friendly, creative and full of positivity. A qualified primary school teacher and EYFS practitioner, Ellie brings warmth and encouragement to every activity, from crafty afternoons to village fête-style games on the field.
The Crew Mates
Our Crew Mates are right there in the thick of it all, cheering children on, joining the games, helping with crafts and making every child feel part of the fun.
Matthew
Energetic, kind and always up for an outdoor adventure. A rugby fan and qualified primary school teacher, Matthew brings warmth, curiosity and lots of momentum to team games and wild exploring.
Ellie W
A little lightning bolt of energy! Ellie is caring, creative and always ready to throw herself into the fun. As a qualified nurse, she brings reassurance as well as brilliant silliness, the perfect combination for Holiday Club.
Thomas
Kind, funny and wonderfully calm. Thomas has a lovely way of helping children feel comfortable and included, whether they’re joining a football game or enjoying a quieter moment away from the hustle and bustle.
India
Future scientist in the making! Clever, kind and able to speak fluent Spanish, India is currently studying a Masters in Chemistry. She brings curiosity, calmness and thoughtfulness to Club, especially during creative experiments and messy play moments.
Jacob
Energetic, enthusiastic and currently training to become a teacher. Jacob thrives in active games and team challenges, bringing encouragement and positivity to every corner of Club.
Livia
Creative, silly and proudly still a big kid at heart. Livia is training to become a physiotherapist and brings lots of fun, imagination and playfulness, exactly the sort of person you’d want on your team for an obstacle race.
Olivia
Friendly, fun and incredibly kind. Olivia is also a semi-professional rugby player, bringing confidence, teamwork and heaps of encouragement to children throughout the day.
Siphara
Gentle, arty and full of empathy. Siphara shines during creative activities, storytelling and quieter moments, especially with children who enjoy calmer styles of play.
Emma
Caring, calm and quietly brilliant at creating WOW moments. Emma studies mechanical engineering at university and loves inventive builds, problem-solving and hands-on activities that make children stop and say “HOW did you do that?!”
Rory
Calm, supportive and quietly confident. A footballer at FC United, Rory is fantastic at helping children feel settled and included, whether they’re joining a match or trying something new.
The Crew Cadets
Our Cadets may be the youngest members of the team, bringing huge amounts of enthusiasm, relatability and fun to May Dayz.
Poppy
Bubbly, warm and full of joy. As a talented dancer, Poppy brings that little bit of awe to Club; children absolutely love copying her moves during discos, performances and talent show moments.
Chloe
Warm, energetic and brilliant at building confidence in others. Chloe encourages children to join in, have a go and enjoy every moment.
Nevaeh
Creative and thoughtful, Nevaeh shines during storytelling, crafts and imaginative play.
Skye
Bright, positive and full of enthusiasm. Skye brings smiles, momentum and lots of encouragement to group activities.
Erin
Calm, caring and wonderfully attentive. Erin is brilliant at spotting quieter moments and helping children feel reassured and included.
Zara
A football wizard with a super caring side too. Zara plays for Wythenshawe FC and brings sporty energy, kindness and encouragement to every game and activity she joins.
