Terms & Conditions

1.1 This page sets out the legal terms and conditions (Conditions) under which we, Practically Family LTD (Company), provide Childcare Services for parents and families (Member).

1.2 By applying to participate in the Company you indicate that you accept these Conditions and that you agree to abide by them. We are Practically Family Ltd registered in England and Wales with company number 9683233, whose registered office is at 66A Bridle Road, Woodford, SK7 1QN. Membership


2.1 You need to register with us as a Member in order to participate in the Services. A Member can be a Parent or Guardian wishing to use the Company’s services.

2.2 Our site and our Services are only intended for use by people resident in the United Kingdom and are not available to persons outside the United Kingdom. By applying to be a Member, you warrant that you are based in the United Kingdom and you are at least 18 years of age.

2.3 All Childcare Services provided by the Company will comply with all relevant legislation and regulations affecting childcare services and all our consultants hold appropriate licences and registrations.

2.4 Ancillary Services (e.g. Club Kits, Special Skills, Member Info and Member Discounts) are available to Members who have subscribed to our Company.

2.5 Payment for Membership (£50 Annually) can be made by all major debit and credit cards or Direct Debit to Practically Family LTD, Lloyds Bank, Account Number 29287960, Sort Code 77-67-07. This fee will be requested upon Membership Application.

2.6 Annual Membership Fees are liable to change yearly. Members will informed accordingly.

2.7 After building and completing your online Family Profile, you will receive an e-mail from the Company acknowledging that we have received and accepted your application. You are then able to gain access to all of the Company’s Services.

2.8 Each Membership will be for a duration of a twelve month period. We reserve the right to suspend/terminate your Membership earlier in accordance with the following provisions. (a) Unfair treatment of a team member: such as, aggressive behaviour and/or endangering their health; (b) The third cancellation of services with less than 24 hours’ notice given; (c) Non-payment of a previous invoice within the time specified.

2.9 Childcare Rates: all bookings are for a minimum of 2 hours and you pay the Company for any fractions of an hour rounded up to the next fifteen minutes. Your Babysitter will have their own transport so there are no additional travel costs. Hourly rates vary depending on service.

2.10 Invoices will be emailed to Members on the Sunday following a Babysit. The fees will be due within 5 days.

2.11 Refunds. If we are unable to find you a babysitter we will refund you a proportion of your membership fee for the times we are unable to meet your needs. For example, if you request ten babysitters during the year and we fail to find one you will be refunded 1/10th of your yearly subscription fee. 2.12 Short notice bookings. A short notice booking is one that is made within 48 hours of the time the Babysitter is required. We will endeavour to fulfil a short notice booking, but you will not be entitled to a refund as described above in the event that we fail to do so.

2.13 Members are not to encourage or request private childcare related services from our team. Our team are contracted to the Company and therefore, are restricted from providing such Services. All team must be re-booked and re-engaged through Practically Family LTD. In the event of a family using a team member introduced by The Company directly, or passing the details of a team member to third parties, the family will be responsible for any associated loss of Company earnings and the Membership will be cancelled.

2.14 Cancellations. If you need to cancel a booking please advise us as soon as you can to avoid inconveniencing the team member, by calling 07581156684. Any booking cancelled within a 24 hour period where the hours can not be replaced for the team member will be charged our minimum babysit of 2 hours. In the event of a team member being cancelled upon arrival, you will be required to pay for a 3-hour period.

2.15 Written communications: Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When a Member of the Company, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on our website or by text. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights. We also adhere to The Data Protection Act at all times.

2.16 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Conditions that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).
