That's why Practically Family invests so much in our team, supporting them with training, encouragement and opportunities to grow. In return, they bring commitment, creativity and genuine care to everything they do.
It also means you’ll see the same, familiar, trusted faces as your children grow, and the bonds they build with our team often go far beyond those found in traditional childcare settings. Many of our Clubbers grow up with our team, from their very first Holiday Club to their final summer before secondary school.
Each member of our team has their own super skill! From baking boss to outdoor adventurer, junk model maestro to hero hair braider - every Crew member brings something unique to the Club. Just like the children we care for, we encourage our team members to be individuals, to pursue their passions and to use their imagination in everything they do. So whatever your children are interested in, there's always someone ready to inspire them.

Every member of our Crew is here for a reason. Many are qualified childcare practitioners working in schools or Early Years settings during term time. Others are studying towards careers in childcare, teaching or youth work. And some? They’re simply naturals; the kind of people children gravitate towards instantly.

How We Run the Show
Behind the fun is a clear structure that keeps everything safe, smooth and brilliantly organised.
Club Captains
Our Captains hold the bigger picture. They lead each venue, oversee safeguarding and make sure every day runs smoothly behind the scenes so the day can unfold full of fun.
They keep an eye on the details, support the team and ensure every child is safe, happy and exactly where they need to be.

Crew Leaders
Crew Leaders lead each coloured Crew. They bring the theme to life, shape the rhythm of the day and help children feel confident, curious and ready to join in. Whether it's outdoor challenges, storytelling or imaginative play, they make sure every child feels included and excited to take part.
Crew Mates
These are your child’s biggest cheerleaders. In every game, craft and moment of silliness, they’re right there, encouraging, supporting and getting fully involved.
Crew Cadets
Our youngest team members, bringing huge enthusiasm, fresh energy and that all-important relatable cool that children love.
Specialists Within the Crew
Each venue also has an Early Years Leader, ensuring our youngest Clubbers receive the nurturing support and structure they need to thrive.
Depending on the Club, we sometimes introduce additional specialist roles too, such as Sports Lead or Outdoor Lead, meaning children benefit from team members with particular passions and skills in the activities they love most.
