Magnificent May Dayz Fun at Our Half Term Holiday Club
We’re buzzing with excitement to share all the details about our upcoming half term Holiday Club, “May Dayz” running from Tuesday 28th May to Friday 31st May at Greenbank Preparatory School.
In true Practically Family style we’ve pulled out all the stops to make sure this May holiday is totally Ah-MAY-zing! Want to know what we’ve got planned? Think a quintessentially English vibe with lashings of strawberries and an extra dollop of cream on top! Think village fete  awash with brilliant bunting, balloon arches and even a May pole!

It’s really going to be a half term like no other. With fun-filled activities, old school garden games to soak up all the lovely warmer weather and of course our fantastic forest adventures, we’re ready and raring to go!

There are lots of things to choose from, so whatever your little (or big) one is into they’re bound to find something they’ll love - plus loads more! We think it’s our most charming theme yet!

Garden Games, Picnics and More!

Longer days, warmer weather it’s just so nice to be outside in all that gorgeous hazy sunshine. That’s why we’ve got garden games galore on our must-have list. Harnessing that nostalgic village fete vibe, we’ll be unleashing the hook-a-duck, limbering up for the frisbee toss and getting a (little) bit competitive at the tin-can alley. It promises to be utterly strawberry jam-packed with fun!

But that’s not all. We’ll be getting all inventive with our junk box modelling parade, trying some street dance moves and doing some traditional May-Pole dancing with beautiful, coloured ribbons. We’ve even got our very own May Day carnival and float for our rose king and queen!

Gingham picnic blankets will be out as we cheer on badminton matches and enjoy leisurely garden games in the afternoon sun. It’s only fair we treat ourselves to some well-earned jam sandwiches and lemonade too! It’s going to be marvellous!

Royally Good Fun and Coronation Craft

We're all set for a jolly good time this half term with some fun festivities that celebrate the spirit of being British. We're diving into creativity with gusto, adorning our space with charming British bunting and plenty of red, white, and blue décor.

Our crafting sessions are going to be absolutely splendid! We'll be making rosettes, flags, and crafting bejeweled crowns fit for any grand celebration. With gems, sequins, and glitter galore, it's going to be a dazzling affair. We'll embark on exciting treasure hunts and dive into some squelchy slime-making – because who can resist some squishy fun?

And what's a British-inspired gathering without some delightful treats? Our afternoon tea will be a delightful twist on tradition. Instead of the usual, we'll be donning our aprons in true British Bake-Off fashion and heading to the mud kitchen. From mud pies to sludge sponges, everyone is in for a treat served in real china cups. It's bound to be a scrumptious adventure for all!

Forest Adventures and Springspiration!

Our Practically Wild adventures are perfect for intrepid explorers of all ages. We love muddy knees, smiling faces and oodles of fresh air.

This May half term we’ve got our green fingers at the ready and lots of al fresco fun planned like decorating trees, mystery picnics, building dens the Secret Seven would be proud of and shhh…even Gangsta Granny woodland jewel heists!

With engaging activities to keep little hands and minds busy, our May Dayz schedule of fun is something they’ll want to get stuck into.

Holidays can be tricky to navigate but with Practically Family they really don’t have to be! We pride ourselves on providing the best, flexible and affordable childcare for all interests and ages.
