Our approach is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, enriched with inspiration from global teaching methods. We don’t just track milestones; we nurture individual growth. Our skilled team matches activities to each child’s learning journey, creating a space where curiosity, wonder, and joy fuel their development. Here’s a peek at what a typical day might look like at POD:

7.30am-8am – Early drop off with the flexibility for parents to decide on the day if they need it or not.

8am onwards: Arrival & Self-Registration
Our mornings begin with a warm welcome and a dash of independence! Each child finds their belongings box and takes part in self-registration, giving them a sense of structure and responsibility in a fun, engaging way. We also incorporate an age-appropriate emotional check-in, where little ones can share how they’re feeling—whether big or small emotions—so we can tailor the day to support them in the best way possible.



Morning Activities & Free Flow Fun
Our days are a blend of planned activities inspired by a monthly theme, paired with free-flow play across our vibrant indoor and inspiring outdoor spaces - from the POD café to the sensory room, the mud kitchens to the hot air balloon library. Whether it’s creating with playdough, dressing up, exploring sensory textures, or diving into our Book of the Month, every corner of POD is designed to spark curiosity and creativity.



10.15am: Smoothie Time
Time for a healthy boost! Children enjoy a yummy smoothie, learning about fruits, colours, and tastes. Next, it’s time for outdoor adventures! Whether we're on a bug hunt or playing sports, we make sure they have plenty of fresh air and room to stretch those wiggly legs. Indoors, the fun continues with treasure hunts, letters and numbers games, role play, and creative crafts. We also love welcoming special friends like Rhythm Time and Diddi Dance to teach us new moves, or RE on Demand to help us explore different cultures and religions. Every day at POD is packed with variety, discovery, and fun!



11.30am: Circle Time
We come together for a cosy circle time, focusing on speaking, listening, and social skills. With storytelling, singing, dancing, or even a little Cosmic Yoga, each child has a chance to share, listen, and feel part of the POD family.

11.45am - 1pm: Lunchtime
After a busy morning, it’s time to recharge! Lunchtime is a joyful affair, full of chatter and sharing - a chance for everyone to relax and refuel together.



Afternoon Adventures
Afternoons at POD are a balance of activity and calm, with extensions of our morning activities, ongoing free play, and 1:1 discovery time with their POD Pals. This dedicated time lets our team focus on each child’s interests, encouraging them to explore further and fostering those important early bonds. Every special moment is recorded on Tapestry for parents to share in their child’s growth and achievements.
